Recently I have noticed my love for film has grown. At sixth form I studied film studies where I had to critically analyse films and write an excerpt of a screenplay. I enjoyed this style of work and I enjoy critically analysing film. Back when I was completed my film studies coursework, I listened to The Film Programme. This radio show is hosted on BBC Radio 4 and is broadcast every week on Thursdays. It reviews latest film releases from all genres and talks to a variety of critics and film lovers. This programme uses a generous portion of critical language which I think will help with my graphics work. Using two different subjects to grow my critical language worked well when I was in sixth form, so I figured it would make sense to do it now. I have decided to listen to the show weekly and in my own time start to practice analysing film. I hope that this will grow and expand my critical language and benefit my graphic work and analysis of graphics in my context of practice module.
