After my involvement with NEST, I had become increasingly interested in a role in the student union. After talking with the liaison officers, we decided that becoming communications officer would suit me most. This role would involve branding and editorial design and is a good opportunity to practice my graphics in an industry.
I ran for communications officer and was elected, I was the only one running but it is still a good achievement. As part of this role I have pledged to introduce a physical monthly newsletter which will involve my editorial design. This role will also involve branding the freshers material for the first years in the next academic year. This opportunity will have a huge benefit to my practice getting used to real deadlines and having my work being produced and released on a large scale.
