OUGD602 - Evolution Print

Today, the course visited Evolution Print in Sheffield. On arrival we were presented with examples of their print jobs demonstrating what the printing studio can achieve. It was beneficial to see the standard of print that could be achieved and see the process for any future jobs I may complete.

They gave a tour of their print workshop demonstrating much of the equipment that is used and the scale of the jobs that are completed.

Once the tour was completed, I stayed behind to print the Union's Newsletter, as I had chosen Evolution to print with. They were welcoming and made the process stress and hassle free. It was a much more positive experience working directly alongside the printers instead of going through the Union which was my experience with the Freshers Identity.

I have learnt the importance of communication with printers to achieve the finish I am after in my work.
