OUGD402 - The Hepworth & Screen Print Fair

On the 6th of March I took a bus to wakefield to go see the print fair, which was held in their mill space. This print fair felt a lot more busy to fairs I had previously been to and I noticed a lot more new studios and artists that produce prints. It was great to see some new and innovative prints that I hadn't before. This visit was useful and I picked up plenty of business cards from studios that interested me in the hopes of getting in contact with them in the future. My next project will involve lots of screen printing so it was useful to see all the different results that can be achieved from this traditional method.

As well as visiting the print fair, I of course had to look around the Hepworth Gallery. This visit was just as useful as another brief I have is to brand an exhibition. It was interesting to see how the work was presented within the space and look into their way finding system. It has given me a few ideas on how to brand my own exhibition.
