OUGD502 - The Film Programme

With my focus more on graphic design within the film industry, I have continued to listen to the Film Programme on BBC Radio 4. Airing once a week, It benefits me being exposed to film and critical film language on a regular basis. Now that my context of practice essay is going to focus on the graphic design within film, it is appropriate to get used to the language used when studying film.

Not only this, it exposes me to discussion on current films and even some that I will be analysing within my essay. Often the programme will focus on the visuals of a film, particularly in films like the work of Wes Anderson, and will even focus on the production design. Listening to critics using critical language will benefit my own practice in my writing.
