During the production of OUGD504 studio brief 2, workshops on After Effects developed my skills in both animation and user interface design. As someone new to the software, I developed my skill in creating shapes and making them move and learned a simple skills set including using frames, anchors and paths. This skill was used during the development of the user experience in studio brief 2 to create features within the application. These workshops allowed me to develop my user interface into a more professional finish as well as create a presentation of the application navigation.
As a new user to the software I found it simple to independently pick up the software and the workshops introduced techniques that helped advance my own independent development. The skills I learned in these workshops and using this software in studio brief 2 have advanced my practice and will advance my practice to come. I am interested in stop motion animation and this practice has further interested me in this style of work.
