OUGD502 - Working with Dan

Since moving to leeds, I have been in contact with my cousin, a free lance designer and co-founder of The Lost Fox. I met up with him and reviewed some of my work to get a professionals opinion. This experience was incredibly beneficial as it made me think about my work, and particularly the way I presented information and my work. When I hand in work my thought process is that the people viewing it will know what I have produced, however to anyone new to my work they will not know what they are seeing. A small critique with my cousin made me realise the importance of presenting my work and pointed out the importance of information hierarchy and how I could use this to my advantage to improve the presentation. He critiqued my current personal identity and helped me determine how the design could be strengthened. I plan to take this feedback forward and grow my personal identity into the presentation of my work as well as further branding features including a website and business cards, as well as continue the overall design into my CV and cover letter.
